Merry Christmas!!

Hey darlings!! Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and got to spend time with your families! I hope Santa brought you everything you wanted and more :)

Christmas here was pretty good, with the exception of not having Derek and Kadence here with me, and the 2 hour power outage. This year I couldn't part with my family for the holidays as much as it kills me to say that and same with Derek. We're still working out how in the world we can go to two different provinces with the short amount of time off we get between the two of us, and this year I had taken a bit of a vacation for two weeks since I haven't seen my family for a year :S. As for Derek he only got 4 days off and a 11 hour trip to see his family by car there and then 11 hours or so back so go to both places was too much. I hope we can celebrate our own traditions and hold a Christmas of our own one day but for now this suites me just fine! Thank goodness for webcams! I got to talk to them both and Kadence showed me all the gifts Santa got her, so it was like I didn't miss a thing.

As I mentioned before we had power outages all day today but the biggest one was for 2 hours straight. It was unexpected so tonights supper is going to a bit late. But don't fret we had baked a bunch of goodies and had tons of munchies to snack on so a late supper isn't a huge deal. Surprisingly the 2 hours of no power and lights wasn't too bad it was actually fun! We cracked jokes and sat around the kitchen table and snacked some more :P. Plenty of snacking went on today! Hey thats what Christmas is for isn't it? haha.

I hope you guys had a memorable Christmas and got to spend time with your favorite people <3

Revlon Precision Lash Adhesive & Lash Review

I'm very excited to let you all know about a very awesome new product I was lucky enough to test out! As you can probably read by the title it is Revlon Precision Lash Adhesive, plus two new types of lashes.

Check out the video for a bit of a demo and review of these bad boys!
I have to admit that I was blown away with this adhesive, I normally am not a fan of drugstore lash adhesive and find nothing compares to my DUO. I have tried several different brands and so far none have even come close, they either irritate my eyes or I find that half way through the day the corners of my lashes lift. So trust me I was a bit skeptical but still curious when I heard about Revlons version since to me DUO is a holy grail item.

Want to see the glue in action? Check out this video :)

*Note I will be using the lashes in two other tutorials so keep your eyes peeled if you want to see those :)*

I still love Duo but with Revlons Precision Lash adhesive you get the same quality but with a bit more ease. Now as a beauty lover I can tell you eyelashes aren't always the easiest to apply especially when your just starting out and can be a bit messy if your not sure of what your doing, with this brush tip applicator you can easily brush on a thin layer and not have to worry about getting glue everywhere,  also if you somehow manage to get any lift on either end of your lashes throughout the day you can always pack this in your purse with its small lip gloss packaging you can bring it with you so you don't have to worry, you can just fix any lifting at any time which is nice.

I haven't found anything that would make me stray away from this product as of yet but if I do I will be sure to let you know :)

So far Revlon Precision Lash Adhesive is a great buy and an instant favorite <3

Let me know your thoughts! Have you tried Revlon's Precision Lash Adhesive?

Lastly if your interested in a more in depth review on Revlons New Lashes let me know :)

Quick Gift Idea-Hello Kitty Flat Iron & Review

I'm super excited to share this Hello Kitty Flat Iron with you guys! I know so many people who would appreciate how cute this is! Now first off yes this was sent to me for consideration but don't worry as always I will tell you guys my honest thoughts and opinions!

First off check out the video to see just how cute this flat iron is! I also go over a few of its feature and brief review but as always I could of went on and on lol so I thought I'd save it for this blog post.

I'm sure if you like me and your a last minute shopper online might be cutting it close but if your really interested you get this and the matching Hair Dryer and Curling Iron online @ Target for $39.99 each.

Here's some direct links :)

Hello Kitty Flat Iron

Hello Kitty Hair Dryer

Hello Kitty Curling Iron

My Thoughts

I can't say too much about the other styling tools since I have not tried them however I have tested out the straightner for about a week now and feel I can tell you how I feel about it without being biased.

Personally I think for $39.99 this straightner is a good deal it's super adorable and what girl doesn't think pink and Hello Kitty are awesome. I have to say though that this straightner isn't for every hair type. Although the plates are quite sturdy and the heat setting on high can get quite hot I don't think this straightner would make thick, coarse, or curly hair pin straight. I have naturally wavy hair, its a bit on the fine side and is pretty easy to style and I think it did a great job, however the ends weren't perfectly straight but good enough for me. I think if you want slick straight hair I would invest in a CHI or GHD. I do love the features to this flat iron which include swivel cord, adjustable heat settings, spring plates, and ridges for grip, most lower priced irons do not have extras like that! I think for either your first straightner or just to have in your collection or for travel this is a great buy! Plus a really cute gift idea! I honestly have put the Blow dryer on my Christmas list! I do need a new hair dryer and would love for it to match! Oh and I forgot to mention the heating time isn't too bad either, I would say about 30 seconds to heat up. Not too shabby at all.

If you do get any of the Hello Kitty styling tools I'd love to hear your thoughts and reviews :)

P.S. I am not being compensated or anything to tell you guys about this Flat Iron or being bribed in any way. As alsways these are my honest opinions and thoughts :)

Icy Blue Winter Tutorial

I couldn't help myself! I'm at my Grandparents place for a bit of a holiday and yesterday my Grandmother picked up these pretty blue and silver icicle like ornaments for her tree and I was in love. The beautiful icy ornament was the inspiration for this look and will post a picture of the ornament asap!

Also I apologize for the darn mirror being in the way! I'm trying to make the best of what I have and didn't even think to bring my larger mirror I usually film with down. That was a major fail on my behalf. However I will try and find something else because this clearly didn't work out lol. I tried to show what I was doing after applying each product but it was pretty difficult! Hope you still get the idea :)
For this look I tried to use as much drugstore eye products as I could since I know I haven't been using them that often and its always nice to see tutorials using products that are easily accessible. Anyways hope you enjoy this look as much as I do!

Updates

Hey There!

Just thought I'd update you all :)

I decided to take a break and head home to my Grandparents place for a bit of a vacation. Times have been a bit rocky for me and finding steady work hasn't been easy. Hoping after the Holidays and a clear head will help. Plus I missed my family! Haven't been home since the Summer I think. For me that is way too long!!

Thank goodness I have Derek and you guys all to keep my mind off things! Don't worry its not the end of the world! If things were easy and just handed to us all the time we wouldn't be the people we are today. Well actually I take that back I'd be happy if things were just handed to me on a silver platter and easy as pie lol. But what can you do! As much as I would like to go to school, its just not going to happen right away (my choice). I've accepted that. I will make it happen though! Just need to focus on the little things right now. Soon enough though things will fall into place. Just taking things one step at a time :).

I didn't consider going to Grandma's place for two weeks would involve slow internet, and I should of remembered that coming here means no cell service!

Just a re-cap Grandma & Grandpa live in the middle of no where Saskatchewan. Don't ask why they live in the middle of no where my Grandma is no longer a fan of small town life but she said she won't move until she wins the lottery. She is convinced she will one day :P. Last but not least my Grandparents brought me up and they aren't as old as your regular Grandparents. Older but not retired. Love them to pieces!!

Anyways now that I'm here I have filmed 3 videos, the fourth one was a fail and I so badly want to upload!!! It kills me! However the internet keeps dropping and this mini laptop that my sister loves so dearly isn't the best. I really really wish my old lap top worked! -_- Well maybe one day I will have a Mac book pro!

Any how. I will continue to try uploading, and recording. Wish me luck! I most certainly will need it!

Love you all!

88 Metal Mania Palette-Smokey Green Eyes

This look has to be one of my new favorite going out looks. It is just so out of the ordinary for me to wear greens that it makes it more exciting and adventurous to wear. I'm pretty plain I usually go for a traditional smokey eye or a brown smokey nothing with this bright of a color especially greens!

With this season I find jewel toned colors to be perfect for the holidays! Go ahead and wear this look and replacing the greens with maybe a deep purple or burgundy, or even a dark navy shade!

Check out the video to see a step by step guide on how I achieved this look :)

What would you do?

Hey all my beautiful internet friends :P

I have a bit of an issue I need to sort through and thought maybe you all could give me some insight or some feedback.

First off I entered to win a scholarship for New Image College of Fine Arts and was one of the winners! I was super stoked and still am! The lady at the school who is helping me with everything has been super amazing and my application was accepted. Even better! Now I have to deal with student loan stuff but all in all it sounds like its a go as long as my student loan goes through.

Now your probably thinking seriously Danielle...what is your deal?? Whats the issue??

Well first off it starts in January! That is sooo soon! Second its for 50 weeks! I'm going to be taking: Fashion and Film Make-up Design Diploma Program. And the class is from 1:45pm-6pm. & to top it off its in Vancouver :S

Issues:
1. How in the world am I going to find a place to live in Vancouver for January and all the fun stuff that goes with moving.
2. I'm going to be away from Derek & Kadence for a whole year :( Considering its Mon-Fri for 50 weeks when will I get time off to visit? Weekends I suppose but that would be costly.
3. How can I get a job with those hours :/ Any suggestions? lol

I'm soo excited to be able to finally go to school since I've been talking about it and dreaming about it for almost forever but I'm distracted by all the other stuff.

I've never had a long distance relationship before and have only heard horror stories, and people telling me it doesn't work. But considering our circumstances are a bit different, there is a child involved and we have never been apart ever I would think that maybe things will be ok.

If it was up to him I wouldn't go lol but he says he would never hold me back. I'm just worried because trust me a lot can happen in a year! I can tell you that one for sure!

Anyone else have to leave everything behind for school? If so how did it go? I know most people leave for school and its no biggie but this is like ridiculously hard for me. I just needed to vent and thought maybe some where someone is reading this and might no where I'm coming from.

I'm going to go through with it, I would be stupid not to... but I just can't seriously help but feel a bit selfish for doing so. >.< I know I know it's for the best and so much good can come from this but wow can you say stressful!

Anywhoo! Wish me luck! I'm going to need it lol.

Quick Tutorial featuring 88 Metal Mania Palette

Was playing around this afternoon with my 88 Metal Mania Palette and realized I haven't done a tutorial using this palette! I'm going to do a mini series with a few looks featuring this palette. As always if you do not own these palettes just use what you have that is similar in color. :)

I was going for a really shimmery peach & gold look since the gold icy weather was so depressing I thought I'd do something more cheerful and warm that would remind me of warmer weather :P

Just because its fall/winter does not mean you have to use fall colors!

My Perfect Imperfections

This was an interesting tag that I just had to do. I also strongly recommend you all do it too! All you have to do is list 3 things you don't like about yourself, and 3 things you love about yourself. Now this is such a great way to get to know someone, and help relate as I'm sure a lot of us share the same insecurities. It also makes you stop and think about things you truly are thankful for. Honestly its hard to look at ourselves unless of course you are just super happy with yourself than your darn lucky haha. But for most of us, we tend to dwell on the little things. This comes from experience lol let me tell you, so stopping and taking the time to actually think about things you really do appreciate about yourself is a great self esteem excersise. I encourage all of you to try it!

Now enough with the sappy stuff and lets get to watching:

Also as I stated in the video I would include a few photos:

Here is one the day after my hair was fixed after it fell out. It was an attrocious green brown since the bright orange wasn't fitting for work, my hair dresser put a wash out color or semi permanent on top which this is all I could do with it since it was destroyed. This is why you do no play with bleach! Go to a salon! lol

The color I was trying to bleach out was red. I loved it but so badly wanted blonde hair lol and just really was tired of coloring it every two weeks with Manic Panic to keep it from looking orange. And even in the one  photo the color looks very washed out.

P.S. I'm wearing a shirt lol you just can't see it. And bad self taking photo!

And finally the following are pictures when I finally went platinum blonde lol I realize now that it wasn't worth all the effort. I am naturally a dark ashy dirty blonde and next time will go more natural with high lights if that ever happens.

So that's just explaining the whole hair ordeal I was mentioning in the video. Also I had actual extensions not the clip ins but they were horrendous and would never ever recommend anyone doing so, sew ins, or clip ins is as far as I'll ever go again.I get bored with my hair really easily so its hard for me to just stick to one look.

Also I stated I have weight issues. I have always been really self conscious about my weight, I've been struggling with that for quite sometime, and don't feel like I'm massive, or anything but would like to be more fit. I walk everywhere and transit everywhere since I don't drive, I eat relatively healthy (carbs are my weakness) so its just a matter of self control and finding a balance. I'll get there someday! Anyways here's a few photo's of me when I was pretty ok with my weight. Actually I was very happy lol..

Anywhooo! That is a little hair history trust me that's just a tiny bit of the hair styles and colors I've had. :P

Tell me what your 3 favorite things are about yourself, and 3 things you could live without down below or leave a video response! <3

Also a tutorial for the look in the video will be up tomorrow!

Updated Foundation Routine

I have to say this has been one of my most requested videos to do lately and to be honest, foundation routines are my favorite to watch seriously. Its always interesting to me to see the transformation, and tips and tricks others use to make their skin appear "flawless".

Now I'm not saying my skin is flawless because it is not and you can see transformation in the video, this is typically what I like to do on a daily basis, and to some that seems like a lot, but to me the 15-20 minutes I take to do my makeup in the morning or whenever during the day is the best part of my day. Honestly to me its like a child coloring. I'm crazy what can I say, some people enjoy reading a book, having a relaxing bath, I enjoy experimenting and playing with makeup.

Anywho if you want to see how I get my skin to look the way that it does in my most recent videos check it out:
